Abstract

The addiction to pornography is one of the most dangerous addictions of the XXI century. We are now observing a sharp increase in the number of addicts in every age group, that is, among young people, adults and even children. The number of girls and women reaching for pornography is drastically increasing. There are two reasons behind this. On the one hand, pornography is easily accessible, especially on the Internet and mobile devices. On the other hand, pornography is proving extremely attractive to an increasing number of people because all that is related to sexuality becomes pathologically attractive to those who do not enjoy life and who try to somehow react to their emotional anxieties. Watching pornography works like a drug, as it quickly becomes addictive and destructively affects the human psych as well as interpersonal relationships. Getting out of the addiction to pornography usually requires not only a psychological therapy but also a radical conversion and a change of one’s life situation.
