Abstract

Parents are the first and most important educators of their children. Responsible pa-rents do not confuse love with acceptance and know that there is no spontaneous self--realization. Upbringing requires effort and systematic work. The foundation of upbringing is showing love, because only those children who feel loved listen to their parents’ words and take their advice. Mature parents show love for each other and show love for their children. The main forms of showing love for sons and daughters are presence, genero-sity, and tenderness. But love alone is not enough. To raise a child is not only to love him or her, but also to set limits and, first of all, mobilize children to think smarter and smarter, work reliably and love more and more generously. If parents fail to achieve these goals, their children will be naive, lazy and selfish, and such traits are contrary to the goals of upbringing.
